About the Programs
You can use the program links on the left to see a complete list of current and upcoming programs with descriptions for each. In order to best serve this population, Kinetic Kids programs are designed and facilitated by physical, occupational, or speech therapists so children are able to enjoy sport and recreational activities in a safe and friendly environment. We strive to make each child successful and feel that employing therapists helps us meet that goal.
What’s New About the Programs?
A significant area of growth within Kinetic Kids in 2006 was the progression to multi-level programming. This means that children in our program will now be more closely matched with their peers with regard to cognitive and physical abilities within each program. We have 3 categories of programs- sportsmanship, recreational, and competitive- and each child was placed in the most appropriate category to allow them to experience success in their own way! In 2006, we implemented this in our swimming and gymnastics program, and plan to progress that to additional programs in 2007.
Safety Disclaimer
Kinetic Kids reserves the right to remove any child from the program who does not meet the basic criteria. Appropriate placement into an alternate class will be attempted, but we must keep the safety of the group as a guiding priority. If one of the instructors must give an inordinate amount of time to a child who is not suitable for the program, that situation compromises the safety as well as the enjoyment of the group as a whole. We appreciate your consideration of these guidelines when determining the appropriate program for your child.
